Reading The Little Duck must have gotten my mind thinking about other kid books, because in the last 24 hours of a north wind I could only think of this poem fromĀ an old anthology. (I wanted to say it was A Child’s Garden of Verses but I just learned that’s all Robert Louis Stevenson.)

Who Has Seen the Wind?

By Christina Rossetti

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.
