This is in the running for my favorite thing I’ve made this year. Because not only is it a useful and cool maxi dress, the print looks like a cross between tie-dye and a scene that could be airbrushed on the side of someone’s van:
There were a few jokes between Doc and me about pattern placement and the Grand Tetons, but I think the overall effect is OK.
I really like the pattern placement on the shoulders, as you can see in this tricky behind-the-back mirror shot:
And you can just catch the (grainy) topstitching on the shoulder strap above, which I’m quite proud of. Yay knits! Yay mountains! Yay sewing!
