1. One month from today is my birthday. I don’t think I’m going to have a very good success rate on the 30 Things.
2. I’m reading The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy again after a lapse of about fifteen years. Now that I’ve seen some Dr. Who, I realize how derivative the book was. It’s still fun, though–gotta love Marvin the Paranoid Android.

Interesting factoid about Hitchhiker’s Guide and Dr. Who… Douglas Adams actually wrote for Who for a time. In fact I think he may have been story editor for a while, if I remember correctly. I can’t recall right now (and I’m too lazy to google) if this came before, after, or during the writing of Hitchhiker’s, but I think it probably explains the overlap quite handily.
