1. After I posted about my buddy Raccoon the Trickster yesterday, I checked under the deck in good light. He hasn’t moved in; he’s just visiting.

2. It’s August now, and the beginning of August is one of the cross-quarter days, halfway between the summer solstice and the autumnal equinox. The day, called Lughnasa, marked the end of summer and was/is celebrated with harvest offerings, flowers, and climbing mountains. I think I can do two out of the three.
