1. I bought pants yesterday! This is big news because I spent the summer in skirts and dresses and didn’t notice that I was slowly outgrowing all my jeans (hello, potatoes baked in heavy cream!). The Pants Summit will lead to a custom-tailored pair I’ll sew, but the second meeting isn’t until the end of the month, so I was relieved to find a pair to tide me over.
2.. This is a picture from the Salt Lake Tribune of the two mayoral candidates, Dave Bulher (l) and Ralph Becker (r). The look on Becker’s face is priceless: “O rly?”
I would vote for Ralph just for that look. Awesome.
3. Two separate people sent me this yesterday. I got the silk for the plaid wedding reception dress yesterday and I did this very same thing:
Not sure what you mean by ‘not going all crazy’…perhaps I over-comment at times and you are thankful that I kept it brief. You are welcome. But that’s my overly-sensitive and defensive side talking…oh damn, here I go again. I would be interested to know, though.
I find it interesting that someone takes the time to say he or she doesn’t care who I would vote for (and notice the conditional “would” there; I never said I “will”) but lets my pants-buying saga go untouched.
Pants are more interesting? It’s a blog with lots of cat pictures–you could comment “nobody cares” on EVERY post, Sir or Madam.
