I hope that an unrelated and unsolicited comment would not be out of place here; after all it’s not Friday yet.
The third recital of the Eccles Festival at the Cathedral is this coming Sunday, this time featuring a local organist (Heidi Alley of St. Paul’s Episcopal). The website of the local AGO chapter (http://www.slcago.org/) lists her program as follows: •Hermann Schroeder, No’s 1, 2 & 6 from Little Preludes and Intermezzi •J.S. Bach Trio Sonata No. 3 •Felix Mendelssohn Sonata IV •Paul Hindemith Sonata in B-Flat Major for flute and keyboard •Maurice Duruflé Prelude & Fugue on the name Alain, op. 7
Just thought I’d throw that out since you were lamenting not knowing what was on the program last time this was discussed.
A bit of personal commentary, if I may: Today feels like a Cole Porter kind of day.
