It is peak wildflower season at high altitude, but I couldn’t deal with the traditional viewing spot at Albion Basin because most of the population of the city is up there on a given weekend. So I convinced Doc to drive us an hour or so east, up into the Uinta mountains around Mirror Lake. It’s a busy spot for camping, but we found a trail and avoided the crowds–and saw lots of wildflowers plus two lakes.
