Decorative gourd season may be winding down, but what comes after it? Ornamental kale and gratuitous evergreen season!
…or in other words, I finally got some “cold weather planters” potted up this weekend. I’ve wanted to do it since I bought the house and now I finally did. (I have grand plans for more evergreens and Christmas lights, too. Just wait.)
I also got a hike in, and the mountains are feeling very November-y: All the leaves are off the trees and the upper part of Millcreek Canyon is now closed for the winter. Time to start carrying winter layers in the backpack, just in case.
