Remember when I posted this picture of me and Skyler last week, and said, “Photoshop in an airship and some tiny goggles for ‘Niner’ and done–steampunk children’s adventure story.”?
Well, my friend Amber waved a magic Photoshop wand and look what happened:
This is so ridiculous and so awesome and so very steampunk (that font! that HAT!) that I just laughed and laughed when I first saw it, to the point of offending Toby. Then, of course, I had to get the story started, because I had a cover for it:
Niner was born at nine minutes after nine o’clock on either April 29 or April 30. The confusion about the actual day was due to the fact he was born on an airship, which was engaged in maneuvers against the sky pirates right above the International Date Line.
That’s as far as I got, but hey–beginning is the hardest part, right? Just look what a little Photoshop inspiration can do.
