The resident sun-follower hopes you have a good start to the week and reminds you to prioritize what makes you happy:

(Yes, he’s on a fleece sweatshirt I was wearing. Guess it’s Toby’s sweatshirt now.)

The new couch that I wanted as part of the whole “Make hell cozy 2021” campaign came back in stock (at IKEA!) sooner than I thought, so Saturday it showed up and I thought, “Let’s put it together while Doc’s at work!”

Reader, this is why I work out. This was probably a two-person job, but I did it–with constant supervision and assistance from Toby, of course.

 

 

Enjoy it like Toby enjoys* new fabric for throw pillows:

*and immediately snags, see his right hand? At least the snag is near the selvedge.

And just like Bartleby the Scrivener, Toby and I would prefer not to.

(We had a busy weekend with social things both days and Toby made his feelings about that clear as we were getting ready on Sunday.)

(Someone likes to enjoy a hot car when it pulls back into the garage.)

Better get in a cool dark hut your parents built you out of pillows and stick your tail out:

 

(Seriously, if you’re in the West stay cool, check on the elderly, bring your pets inside, and put out some water for the weeldlife.)

It’s going to be a busy week, but Toby says, “Maybe you can ignore it a little bit.”

“Wut? The weekend is over?”

It is, Toby, but at least I don’t have to go into the office. (I’m not sure Toby will ever let me go back to the office full-time. Think my bosses will take that excuse?)
