1. It’s August 1, which puts us midway between the summer solstice and the fall equinox. If you’re a Celt or a neo-pagan you can celebrate Lughnasadh and the beginning of the harvest, or you can call it Lammas. Either way, you can feel a change in the air, right? The light is different, more golden; everything is in bloom; and dusk is coming a little earlier.
2. I don’t think I’ve ever written a post about a beauty product on this blog in 8 years (just about my inability to apply most of them), but Dior Nail Glow is the shit. It’s a clear polish, but a MAGIC clear polish. I can slap it on in about 90 seconds, it dries fast, lasts a week, and makes your nails look very French–not like you just put clear polish on them, but like you just naturally have perfectly manicured nails. (See it in action on this beauty blog.) And it doesn’t make my nails peel. I’ve been using it for about two months and so thought I’d share the love.
3. I just wrote more words about nail polish than about my beloved Celtic cross-quarter days. It might be the end times.
